Last updated: November 2, 2026. This policy covers the Stutter Tracker app for Android and iOS, published by Wac Labs.
Your speech data stays on your device
Recordings, profiles, notes, counts, %SS results and self-ratings are stored only on your device. We have no server for them and cannot read them. The on-device analysis runs on your phone or tablet and does not send audio anywhere. They are also excluded from automatic Android and iCloud device backups. They leave your device only when you choose to export a report or a backup, and you decide where that file goes.
Recording other people
Only record someone with their permission. If you record a child, you must be their parent or guardian or have that person's permission. Stutter Tracker is operated by adults and is not directed to children.
What is collected, and by whom
- App usage (Google Firebase Analytics): anonymous events such as a session being saved or a report being exported, device and app version. These events never contain names, notes, recordings, transcripts, %SS or other results.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): technical details about crashes.
- Advertising (Google AdMob): free users see ads. Google may use your device's advertising identifier and approximate location from your IP address, according to the choices you make in the consent prompt. Nothing about your speech or profiles is passed to ad networks. You can change your choice in Settings.
- Purchases (RevenueCat, Apple, Google): an anonymous app user ID and your purchase status, used to unlock Premium.
Google's handling is described at policies.google.com/privacy, RevenueCat's at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Deleting your data
You can delete a recording, a session, a profile, or everything from within the app (Settings). Uninstalling the app removes all data stored by it, except files you exported yourself. To ask about analytics data linked to your device, email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Contact us and we will respond.
Not a medical device
Stutter Tracker is a measuring and record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
